In advance of the grand opening of the David Geffen Galleries, the L.A. Times visited the museum and recommended its must-see works. Their April 8, 2026, review noted that the seventeen essential works “demonstrate how the galleries’ radical approach reshapes how we encounter familiar masterworks.”
